The TrailNFS_Publish Layer is designed to provide information about National Forest System trail locations and characteristics to the public. It describes trail locations, basic characteristics of the trail, and where and when various trail uses are prohibited, allowed and encouraged. Because the data readiness varies between Forests, each Forest approves which level of attribute subset are published for that forest. Forests can provide no information or one of three attribute subsets describing trails. The attribute subsets include TRAILNFS_CENTERLINE which includes the location and trail name and number; TRAILNFS_BASIC which adds information about basic trail characteristics; and TRAILNFS_MGMT which adds information about where and when users are prohibited, allowed, and encouraged. When a Forest chooses to provide the highest attribute subset, TRAILNFS_MGMT, these attributes must be consistent with the Forest's published Motorized Vehicle Use Map (MVUM).
The feature class indicates the specific types of motorized vehicles allowed on the designated routes and their seasons of use. The feature class is designed to be consistent with the Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). Only roads with a SYMBOL attribute value of 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, and 12 are Forest Service System roads and contain data concerning their availability for OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) use. This data is published and refreshed on a unit by unit basis as needed. Information for each individual unit must be verified as to be consistent with the published MVUMs prior to inclusion in this data. Not every National Forest has data included in this feature class. Refreshed 4/22/2021.
Existing Forest Service roads with attributes representing their characteristics. Each feature represents a segment of road where the attributes are the same. Attributes apply either to the entire road or to some measured distance along the road. Refreshed 4/15/2021.
Surface Management Agency data for Idaho and surrounding states (Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana). Data was acquired from the BLM offices. See process steps for details on published dates, acquired dates, locations from where the data was acquired, and how the regional dataset was put together. This regional SMA dataset was merged together on April 9, 2013. This dataset is merged together for general GIS and cartographic purposes. It does not have an Idaho Data Steward nor a formal ID9167 Data Validation form. It contains data that was acquired from the BLM offices on these dates: All states were downloaded April 5, 2013. Please note that the "currentness" of the non-Idaho data may be older than the dates acquired. SMA attribute values provided by the states were converted to the MGMT_AGNCY attribute values used by Idaho BLM. However, the original SMA attribute values used by the states are also present in the attribute table. The publication dates for the individual states are as follows: Montana -- January 9, 2013, Nevada -- April 19, 2013, Oregon -- December 13, 2013, Utah -- April 12, 2013, Wyoming -- November 12, 2013.
The process for merging and crosswalking the surrounding states SMA has been automated as of April 2013. Data downloaded 2019.
his dataset represents Surface Management and Federal Mineral Ownership for Wyoming. This dataset is intended to represent the ownership & management information on Master Title Plats(MTPs). Surface management will be identified by the Agency of Jurisdiction, when the surface is Federal. All other parcels will be identified as either Private or State. Private parcels do not identify the name of the individual owner. Mineral ownership identifies only the Federal interest. This dataset also includes known BLM managed surface within the state of Nebraska, which is managed by Wyoming BLM. No Federal mineral interest within Nebraska is yet included. Updated 7/31/2020.
Cadastre.LandOwnership feature class depicts land ownership status and areas of responsibility for the State of Utah surface lands at a scale of 1:24,000. Maintenance of this data layer is performed by a cooperative federal and state effort between the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the State of Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (SITLA).
