Description: The Interregional Road System (IRRS) is a series of state highway routes, outside the urbanized areas (based on Caltrans Adjusted 2000 Census Urbanized Area Boundaries), that provides access to, and a link between, the State’s economic centers, major recreational areas, and urban and rural regions. The IRRS feature classs based on a line feature class representing adopted, proposed, and constructed California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) state highway routes.This data is for planning purposes only.
