Service Description: The FDOT GIS Sidewalk Width & Separation feature class provides spatial information on sidewalk width & separation distance from the roadway. The sidewalk separation is an important safety measure. The greater the distance the sidewalk is from the roadway, the less chance there is for conflict between pedestrians and vehicles. Sidewalk width is recorded to the nearest foot. This information is required for all non-limited access highways, including bridge segments.
