Description: This layer provides a study boundary for the purpose of visualizations and map products and represents the extent of the Kenai Peninsula that was included in GIS data processes. The boundary was created based on the drainage catchments within the study area that were delineated using a 10x10 ft pixel sized digital elevation model (DEM) using ArcHydro Tools for ArcGIS Pro. The standard processing steps within ArcHydro were followed to create an Adjoint Catchments (i.e., largest inclusive watershed that included all catchments in the study area), including: DEM preprocessing; flow direction and accumulation, stream selection and segmentation, catchment delineation, and then adjoint catchment processing. The final largest adjoint catchment was reviewed and selected as the watershed study area.
