Description: Kernel density was performed on the annual food waste by local businesses in Escondido, Imperial Beach, Poway, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Del Mar, La Mesa, and Chula Vista. Result kernel density layers were converted into contour polygons using the contour tool. The calculate field tool was used to convert the minimum field into food disposal estimates with a range of 0 - 100. Contour layers were merged to form a single layer. Because all layers have the same range of food disposal estimates, classification resulted in the same high to low ranking of food disposal for all cities used in the analysis. In other words, the highest and lowest concentrations of food disposal for a city appears the same as all other cities even when less food waste was generated by the city.
