Description: This data set is the source for all attributes of Pavement. These attributes are shown in different layers for the Road Information Tool and show the many descriptions and states for MCDOT maintained roads. It is updated nightly from the original source in Esri Roads and Highways. <br>This data set displays various attributes for MCDOT-maintained roads such as: road surface type (asphaltic concrete, dirt native, penetration chip, etc.), base, subbase, subgrade, road width, maintenance side, and lane count. <br><br><b>County Maintained Roads (MaintenanceSide): </b></br>This date set displays paved and unpaved roads maintained by MCDOT. Each segment indicates whether the maintenance is on both sides (blue), right-side (red), or left-side only (green). In most cases, a road must have verified right-of-way and be open and declared in order to be maintained by MCDOT. Courtesy-maintained roads may be an exception. <br><br><b>Road Classification: </b></br>This data set contains road classification data related to how a road was classified when it was designed. Roads can be classified as Principal and Minor Arterial, Major and Minor Collector, Local, and Park Road depending on the character of service they provided. </br> Contact: Planning Group MCDOTPlanning@maricopa.gov <br><b>Road Width:</b> <br>This data set displays, among other roadway attributes, the width (in feet) of a MCDOT-maintained road. <br><b>Road Lanes:</b> <br>This data set displays, among other roadway attributes, the number of lanes on a MCDOT-maintained road.<br><b>Pavement OCI:</b> <br>This data set displays overall condition index (OCI) for paved, MCDOT-maintained roads. Overall condition index is obtained via windshield inspection using ASTM standard practice D6433-23 for Roads and Parking Lots Pavement Condition Index Surveys. OCI is used as a criteria for planning pavement preservation and reconstruction projects. More details on inspections and OCI rating can be obtained by contacting MCDOTAssetManagement@maricopa.gov.<br><b>SegmentID:</b> <br>This data set displays the road segment ID as a label. Segment ID is unique for each segment and is used in both OpenGov Asset Management (Cartegraph and other GIS applications to identify roads. <br><b>Primative:</b> <br>This data set displays roads designated as 'primitive' roads. The Board of Supervisors or governing body may designate a public road within its jurisdiction as a primitive road as described in ARS 28-6706. A road may not be designated primitive unless it was opened before Jun 13, 1990 and was not constructed to County standards. <br>
