Description: This Feature Class represents the historic Hanging Files that were created by the Survey division of the Transportation Department to depict recorded maps, instruments and other documents that affected road rights-of-way. The Hanging Files were last updated in 2004 and are no longer being maintained. They are now historic reference maps used for Survey related research.Each shape is an individual section of a township and range. A complete Hanging File may include anywhere from one (1) to nine (9) of these shapes. This configuration makes it possible to include township, range and section attributes that can be sorted and searched in addition to the Hanging File map numbers.The LASERFICHE_URL field contains a hyperlink to the scan of the Hanging File stored in the County's LaserFiche system that is associated with each shape.
