Description: Quality Start Riverside County raises the quality of early learning programs by using evidence-based quality measures and professional development supports. QSRC brings together early educators, families, and community partners for the common purpose of giving every child in Riverside County the chance to reach his or her full potential. First 5 Riverside Hybrid Alternative Payment (F5 RHAP) is a subsidized reimbursement program for low-income children 0-5 years of age to access early learning education in quality settings, specifically sites participating in Quality Start Riverside County (QSRC).The QSRC sites are located throughout Riverside County across the three zones (Zone 1: Western County, Zone 2 Mid & Southwest County and Zone 3: Desert & Eastern County).
The Nutrition and Physical Activity Self-Assessment for Child Care (NAP SACC) is a provider-based program that is implemented in child care centers. This program is designed to promote healthy weight development in preschool children by improving the nutritional quality of food served, amount and quality of physical activity, staff-child interactions, facility nutrition and physical activity policies and practices, and related environmental characteristics. NAP SACC includes a 5-step intervention to help facilitate gradual change and promote continuous quality improvement
