Description: This depiction of MHHW throughout Florida is one of the component datasets used to represent the extent of Retained Waters, as defined in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for assumption of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. NOAA's MHHW layers for Florida were converted to line features and appended to one another to create this layer. It was used to produce "Screening Layer 2" within the Consolidated Retained Waters Guideline layer.
