Description:

The Aquifer Management Areas are 2-dimensional representations of 3-dimensional shapes. Specifically, they show the maximum aerial extent of the aquifer but do not indicate depth. In many cases, natural layering of the earth leads to multiple aquifer units in the same location, but at different depths. In these cases, Aquifer Management Areas will overlap. Geological information obtained through investigations and bore logs will be continued to be used to refine the data and thus shapes may be altered accordingly.

Extracted from Aquifer data refined by Natural Environment Strategy 2019 into a schema required by LAWA.
