RCMap_Degraded_Vegetation_in_Alternative_5_Available_Areas (FeatureServer)

View In:   Map Viewer

Service Description: This is a union of five vegetation departure layers derived from the USGS RCMap dataset: shrub, sage, perennial grass, bare ground, and annual grass. The first three layers were thresholded to eliminate all values greater than -5 (less than 5% loss of that cover type). Bare ground was thresholded to remove values less than 10% (less than 10% increase in bare ground). Annual grasses were thresholded to remove values less than 20% (less than 20% increase in annual grasses). The resulting layers with a single value for degraded areas and no data for other areas were all combined to produce a layer of total overlap. This is the result of that analysis clipped to the extent of areas considered under alternative 5 as shown in this authoritative BLM layer: https://blm-egis.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8738b56aef394739ac4bd7139a7c2f63.
