Service Description: The Public Works Urban Forestry Division is currently responsible for planting approximately 2,000 new and replacement trees each planting season - between November 1st and April 15th. They also maintain approximately 120,000 city-owned trees of more than 80 species that provide shade, greenery, and character to our neighborhoods, streets, and parks. The tree inventory location points represent the Urban Forestry asset and not necessarily a tree. For example, these points can represent the grow space such as a well, pit, or median, or the points can represent an area in need of tree removal. This dataset was compiled by Davey Tree Company and delivered to the City of Richmond on 8/3/2015.
