Description: Water Resource Inventory Areas (WRIA) for Washington State at 1:24,000 scale. WRIAs were formalized under WAC 173-500-040 and authorized under the Water Resources Act of 1971, RCW 90.54. Ecology was given the responsibility for the development and management of these administrative and planning boundaries. These boundaries represent the administrative under pinning of this agency's business activities. The original WRIA boundary agreements and judgments were reached jointly by Washington's natural resource agencies (Ecology, Natural Resources, Fish and Wildlife) in 1970.Cliped to Thurston CountyUpdated with data from Ecology January 26, 2015. This data reflects a clip of the Washington State Dept. of Ecology Dataset. Any questions, issues or problems with the WRIA boundaries should be directed to Ecology. Description: Thurston County Zoning data layer. Zoning information for County, Urban Growth Areas, and the Cities of Lacey, Tumwater, Olympia, Rainier, Tenino, Bucoda, and Yelm are complete and updated as required. All information for Jurisdictions other than Thurston County, in this data, should be confirmed with that Jurisdiction directly. This layer is built into the Jurisdictions layer, based upon the Jurisdiction field that is used in the nightly combo table process that informs the Permitting Jurisdiction in Amanda and the Parcel Information Report. The layer is maintained to be parcel specific where appropriate however errors may be introduced due to the shift of parcels with in the Assessor’s parcel layer. Updates are made to the layer as annexations occur. This update may include not only a change in the listed Jurisdiction but, depending on the action taken by the Jurisdiction in question, it may also include a change in Zoning Type.Thurston County (Jurisdiction) Zoning is designated in the Thurston County Comprehensive Plan. All water areas, waterways, alleys, roads, streets, highways, railroads, and other rights-of-way, if not otherwise specifically designated, shall be deemed to be in the same zoning district as the property immediately abutting upon same. 2. Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following the centerlines of streets, alleys, railroads or waterways, such lines shall be construed to be such boundaries. 3. Where district boundaries are indicated as approximately following the lines of lots or other parcels of record and the distance by scale shows the boundary to be not more than ten feet distant from the lot line, the lot line shall be deemed to be the district boundary. 4. Where a zoning district boundary divides a parcel of land, the location of such boundary, unless the same is indicated by dimensions shown on the map, shall be determined by use of the scale appearing thereon, and scaled to the nearest foot. 5. Any zoning district boundary shown extended to or into any body of water bounding the county shall be deemed to extend straight to the county boundary.
