Description: Current fish distribution on Forest Service lands managed by Pacific Northwest Region 6. These data depict current fish distribution, and do not include historical distribution. Current fish distribution data were extracted from interagency data sources and transformed to meet one data standard as closely as possible. These data have been planarized to eliminate spatial overlap. This feature class contains line (event) features which have been linearly referenced to the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) using high resolution data managed at scales of 1:24,000-scale or higher. Distributions are determined by a combination of direct observation through survey sampling, informal observations by professional natural resources agency staff biologists, and/or by professional opinion. For more details regarding any specific observation or determination of presumed presence, please contact the source agency providing the distribution record.
