Description: Wildland Urban Interface for the Salmon-Challis National Forest developed by Counties working in cordination with federal land management agencies and others. WUI layers for Lemhi and Custer Counties were combined into one feature class for the request for forest WUI GIS Layers from Director of Fire and Aviation in 2015. The two WUI layers were examined in relation to the County line/boundary and minor overlap of Custer County WUI was erased from Lemhi County WUI. This layer is intended to be a used as a management decision tool to support planning/project level efforts between the County and the Adjacent land managment agencies. Use of this data include spatial analysis and cartographic products. This spatial data represents the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) for Lemhi County Idaho. The dataset was created by the Salmon Field Office, Bureau of Land Mgmt. (BLM) through a collaborative effort with Lemhi County. Updated 9/27/2010. This dataset represents the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) for Custer County Idaho. This dataset was developed by representatives of Custer County, the Challis Field Office (BLM) and the Challis USFS. Boundaries were hand drawn on 250K maps and then manually digitized using ArcGIS.
