Description for the SBEADMR_Alt2_FINAL.gdb The SBEADMR_Alt2_FINAL.gdb contains the following: Feature Dataset: SBEADMR_Alt2_PTA Feature Class: Alt2_All_Activity_Types_FINAL The Alt2_All_Activity_Types_FINAL feature class contains areas analyzed for the SBEADMR FEIS that include: Priority Treatment Areas (PTA), potential hazard tree treatment areas outside PTAs and potential new road disturbance outside of PTAs. Priority Treatment Areas (PTA) were created through continued analysis of the spruce/fir and aspen vegetation types that have been and continue to be affected by the Spruce Beetle epidemic and Aspen Decline. These areas are identified for possible commercial and noncommercial treatments for the SBEADMR Final EIS. Commercial and noncommercial areas are identified by several attributes including: 1) possible treatment types derived from change detection, 2) species cover types, 3) Forest Planning direction for suitable timber sale areas, 4) Canada lynx and Gunnison sage-grouse habitat direction from respective conservation planning direction, and 5) wildland urban interface (developed in 2009). Potential hazard tree treatment areas outside PTAs were developed where dead or dying spruce/fir and aspen vegetation pose a potential hazard in proximity to roads, utility corridors, communication sites, dispersed recreation sites, developed campgrounds and other recreation sites and within ski areas both within and outside the wildland urban interface (WUI). Potential new road disturbance areas outside PTAs delineates the potential proposed road system that would be needed to implement SBEADMR treatments.
