Description:
The spatial data described here are products of a wildfire risk assessment that accounts for biophysical, ecological, and socioeconomic dimensions of risk. The intent is to support strategic planning by quantifying the potential for harm to people and valued resources posed by wildfire, as well as the potential for management decisions to reduce risk. The products include mapped variables representing the potential for hazardous fire (i.e., exposure), various social and ecological values potentially harmed (i.e., vulnerabilities), and consequent risks (conditioned by both exposure and vulnerability). Products also include variables quantifying the potential utility of landscape-scale fuel reductions for efficiently reducing risk.
