The Scenery_IntegrityObjective feature class is initially derived from other entities in the GIS Data Dictionary by extracting appropriate features, such as Scenic Classes or Landscape Visibility polygons and adding unique features not found elsewhere such as designated areas. Desired conditions for scenery include scenic integrity objectives that describe the minimum degree to which desired scenic character attributes are to remain intact. Desired Scenic Integrity or Scenic Integrity Objectives are developed using integrated resource management and public involvement during a planning effort such a land management plan revision.Scenic integrity objectives are assigned throughout the plan area.The complete process is included in the Landscape Aesthetics Handbook listed below, under "References". This dataset was updated due to the Trinity Point Administrative Change signed 10/27/2020
The Chugach National Forest acquired a total of 252 acres around the area of Portage Pass on 3/15/2022. Updates were made to the dataset on 01/25/2023 as a result of an Administrative Change for the land acquired.
