Service Description: Polygon layer displaying Event Based Areas (EBA) in the Toronto and Region Source Protection Area (TRSPA). An EBA is an area where a specific activity exists or could exist in the future, and where a release of contaminants could pose a threat to drinking water by being transported to a surface water intake during an extreme event (e.g. storms, droughts, etc.). The event-based area is the area where such activities can be identified as significant drinking water threats under the event-based approach, and where policies apply as set out in the Source Protection Plan.
