Environics Analytics provides you with comprehensive set of demographic data, including two versions of the Canadian Census: Statistics Canada’s official release and our CensusPlus, which reconciles the effects of random rounding and suppression by the government. These authoritative data help you make informed decisions on how to reach your best customers, track neighbourhood growth patterns and forecast trends with census projections.
how it's used:
Marketers can use CensusPlus’ demographic data to analyze custom trade areas to help locate attractive target markets for more effective direct mail campaigns.
Retailers can enhance their customer databases with demographic profiles to better understand their best customers. CensusPlus’ multicultural data can also help users analyze their culturally diverse customers so users can make more informed decisions on how to meet their needs.
Creating target sets by grouping together demographically similar customer segments can help marketers develop meaningful messaging that is more likely to resonate with current and prospective customers.

This is the ecological land classification and land use dataset for the Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) jurisdiction, as well as some surrounding land, including the entire Region of Peel. Ecological Land Classification for Southern Ontario is used as the basis for classification in natural areas and two CVC-defined land use classification systems (rural and urban) are used for the remaining area.
Some areas of the dataset are classified solely based on orthophoto interpretation, and other parts are more finely classified through the aid of field work. Interpreted natural land cover types are classified to the Community Series level of detail (with exceptions such as marsh and plantation communities). Field work classification is generally done to the Vegetation Type or Ecosite level. Polygons in the CVC jurisdictional area are updated and checked over with reference to 2018 15cm resolution spring orthophotos. Some polygons were field visited and classified in 2019 and 2020.
Most interpreted polygons will be greater than 0.44 hectares, but there are many exceptions for this, like in the case of some ponds and wetlands, or where other small land cover patches are adjacent to field work delineations or roads. Similarly, most field work polygons will also be greater than 0.44 hectares, however there are relatively more exceptions to this. In general, the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) field-determined polygons have a higher proportion being less than 0.44 hectares.
Some field data has been subsequently edited where significant changes (development) are interpreted. Outside of the CVC jurisdiction, less detailed classification has been done where TRCA has not done any fieldwork. The TRCA field data was given to CVC in 2015, so there may be more recent data available.
TRCA owned land. Geography based on Teranet parcel data.
Centers for Biodiversity were mapped based on the Criteria outlined in the Phase 3 Report, and associated GIS methodology (available upon request).

subwatershed boundaries in TRCA jurisdiction. These subwatersheds are a compilation of subwatershed boudaries delinated through the use of a DEM (2002) and ArcHydro. This was originally created to replace the older subwatershed boundaries that contained overlaps and gaps.
Because these subwaershed were derived from a different source and methodology that the TRCA_Jurisdiction boundary there will be differenced between the overall juridiction, and watershed boundaries.
