Linear water bodies: rivers, creeks, and any watercourses, including major engineered and enclosed watercourses of storm sewer systems in urban areas.

The original file that existed before 2004 was generated by CVC staff and students volunteers. The original file underwent major and substantial revisions. Using the orthophotos made available since 2004, and multiple inputs from field visits from staff (planners, NHP, etc) data have been updated periodically.

In 2020 and 2021, IM and Natural Heritage divisions started reviewing the hydrologic network shapefile for the entire CVC jurisdiction using Lidar data (2016), contours, and orthophotos. New features were added, some modified and removed, and a few fields of the attribute table were archived per IM consultation with Planning, Natural Heritage, and Ecology and Monitoring divisions.

A few fields in the attribute table were updated including the: Regulation, riverclass, and fishcomm.
