Description:

The major groundwater discharge zone within the study area occurs along the south slope of the ORM where discharge is solely from the Oak Ridges Moraine Aquifer Complex. The second major groundwater discharge zone occurs along and south of the Lake Iroquois shoreline where the shallow water table and two deep aquifer complexes discharge to rivers and their associated valleys The second groundwater discharge forms seepage areas and springs.

This only includes areas where groundwater discharge exceeds the median discharge rate for the watershed. In other words, it shows areas with higher than average groundwater discharge. There could be other seepage areas and springs not shown on this layer.
