On April 14, 2025, Rhode Island Division of Statewide Planning (RIDSP)requested the location of all grocery stores in Rhode Island from the Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH). RIDOH provided the Facility Name, Physical Location, License Number, License Type, Secondary License Type, Status, and if it is a chain location. The physical location address was geocoded using the RI E-911 locator. In this process, of the 471 locations, approximately 50 did not match. Of those 50, 49 were able to be matched manually by either correcting spelling or pinning the location after conducting an online search. License type is provided by the RI Department of Health. License type can be one of the following: Market (Non-Profit)Cash Register - 1-2Cash Register - 3-5Cash Register - 6 or more Secondary License type is provided by RI Department of Health.
