Service Description: The Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC (FBCENC) Executive Team needs to identify areas that are appropriate for mobile food pantry stops. FBCENC has limited resources to take food and other necessary items into communities and needs to maximize said resources in the most cost-effective and equitable manner possible. Thus, we are tasked with designing a plan for mobile pantry food delivery meet-up locations, which maximizes efficiency, equity, safety, and cost. The target locations for the mobile food pantry stops are within Raleigh City Council District B, as District B is home to some of the greatest disparities in access to public transportation and food. Areas of interest include locations of farmers markets, colleges and universities, public K-12 schools, parks, and public libraries. The stops should also be within a .25 mile walking distance of existing bus stops.
