Description:

Revised fault hazard mapping was generated at a scale of 1:5,000 to 1:10,000, where datasets allowed. Smaller scales of 1:50,000 to 1:250,000 were applied elsewhere. The assessment, undertaken in 2021, followed Steps 1 and 2 of the Ministry for the Environment guidance, Planning for Development of Land on or Close to Active Faults (2003).
