Description: This is a line data set representing the underground conduit locations between street lights and the point of connection with Idaho Power within the City of Boise and the Boise Area of Impact. The conduit is usually one to two inch PVC electrical conduit buried between 18 and 24 inches in the ground carrying multiple #6 copper wires feeding power to the city’s street lights. The accuracy is unknown. This data set was developed by Boise City Public Works Department in the early 1990’s and is currently maintained by the DIS Division of Boise City Public Works under the direction of the Boise City Streetlight Coordinator. It is continually updated as new conduit is added and as existing conduit is located, moved, and removed in the field. It is current to the date of publication. The data is used by staff in conjunction with Digline requests to ensure accurate conduit locations are provided to individuals requesting it in accordance with the Idaho State Digline law.
