This is a polygon data set representing the current areas where sewer service is available to the public through the City of Boise sewer system and neighboring private sewer districts. The intention of this data set is not to show every single parcel that actually has sewer service, but rather to define the general boundaries of where sewer service is available. There are parcels using septic systems within the service area boundaries but these are not identified in this layer. The boundaries for the private sewer districts are included for delineation of service area responsibility. The data set was developed by the Engineering Division of the Boise City Public Works Department from parcel and sewer mainline data. This data set is continually being updated. The data set is current to the date it was published.
