This is a polygon data set representing Boise Fire first due areas for Boise, Whitney, and North Ada County Fire and Rescue Districts. A first due area is a geographic boundary that a single fire station is most likely to respond to first for an incident because it is closer than any other fire station, based on the road network and the area is within the agency’s jurisdictional responsibility. Station response areas are used for reporting and analysis of incidents and calls for service to make business decisions (for example: measuring the efficiency of the fire fighting force, concentrations of incident types, how busy station are, etc...). The data set was derived from analytics based on current street network, station locations, and fire district boundaries. The accuracy is unknown. This data was created by the City of Boise. This data is updated as needed. It is current to the date of publication.
