The Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) has generated a map showing the extent of the possible oil spill in Manila Bay due to the sinking of MT Terra Nova. The tanker’s location shown on the map was sourced from information dated 25 July 2024, at 12:21 AM Philippine Standard Time (PhST).
Oil spill extents from the RCM-2 satellite image captured 26 July 2024 at 5:40 AM PhST was retrieved from the International Charter Space and Major Disasters or the Disasters Charter.
