Description: Channels are linear waterways which connect individual components of the stormwater network. Channels may connect point features such as culverts and catch basins, or they may feed into other channels. The channels in this feature class represent ditches in the field.The 'CatchBasin' and 'Culvert' feature classes were digitized and the resulting point features used as reference nodes in the construction of the 'Channel' feature class. The reference nodes, along with aerial imagery and lidar-derived digital elevation models, were used to infer drainage patterns and the resulting paths were digitized as linear stormwater channels.Symbology used to represent stormwater features should utilize the MWCD color standard (rgb; 0, 25, 100).
