Description: This dataset is the definitive set of regional council boundaries for 2015 as defined by the Local Government Commission and/or regional councils themselves but maintained by Statistics New Zealand (the custodian). The New Zealand 2015 clipped generalised (NZTM) dataset was downloaded in Esri geodatabase format from the Statistics New Zealand Geographic boundary files website. The downloaded geodatabase contains several feature classes representing various political boundaries. This dataset is based on the REGC2015_GV_Clipped feature class. The source data has been modified in the following ways:
The dataset was converted from a shapefile to a geodatabase feature class.
The dataset name was changed.
Some attributes were deleted, renamed, or hidden.
The dataset was clipped to the Marlborough region.
