The Waiver Prohibition Areadataset represents legally established geographical areas that prohibits waiver of any onsite sewage disposal system (septic systems) standards and regulations within the County of Sonoma.
The standards and regulations include local, state, and federal. Prohibition areas are created due to extreme site limitations that affect the ability to construct a code compliant septic system. Site limitations include high ground water conditions, excessive slopes, and small lots where well and stream setbacks cannot be met, and other site constraints that prevent a septic system from being installed in accordance to adopted standards and regulations.
