Description: The dataset represents the location of drug treatment facilities, as of August 3, 2016, within the County of Sonoma.
The datasets is assisting in the drafting and adoption of the Cannabis Land Use Ordinance 15-0005:
The Permit and Resource Management Department (PRMD) is responsible for developing, implementing and enforcing land use regulations within the unincorporated County, including maintaining consistency with the Sonoma County General Plan.
The California Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act (MCRSA) requires an operator in the cannabis industry to first obtain a local license or permit before applying for a state license. As directed by the Board of Supervisors on February 2, 2016, PRMD will be working to establish licensing or permitting schemes for land uses including cultivation, labs and testing, distribution, transportation, deliveries, manufacturing and dispensaries.
