Service Description: This map shows the locations of the wildlife bridge crossings throughout the state of Florida. Although there are some throughout the entire state, the majority of them are in District 1. District 1 encompasses the southwest part of the state and consists of the following counties: Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Lee, Manatee, Okeechobee, Polk and Sarasota.

These crossings have the potential to reduce motor vehicle collisions with wildlife, consequently reducing the likelihood of injuries and mortalities to humans and wildlife as well as reducing the potential for damage to motor vehicles.
