This map shows three types of facilities exact location across Florida. Fist, Weigh in Motion (WIM) devices are designed to capture and record axle weights and gross vehicle weights as vehicles drive over a measurement site. Next, is Static Scales hinted from the name vehicles and content have to be at a complete stop for weight to be calculated. Last, is Virtual Weigh in Motion (VWIM) unlike the previous two VWIM's are unmanned and do not have an actual facility. They work by bring in data through sets of cameras that are set up along Florida's roadways. The three types are identified on the map by a unique symbol that is placed in the exact location. Motor Carrier Size & Weight has a vast range of sites all across the State of Florida. Having a visual with all of the geolocations helps day to day operations in a lot of different ways. Apart from having the precise location there are popups configured with each symbol that give the facility name, number, Lat/Long, District, County, etc.
