Description:

This feature class represents the location of High Mast Light Poles which are a subset of FDOT Bridge Inventory. It is maintained in a restricted database called the Bridge Management System (BMS), formerly PONTIS. Monthly the GIS unit extracts/updates this feature class via script for the visualization of bridge structures in GIS. Bridges (which includes mast arms, high mast light poles, and large sign structures are represented as points at the start of the structure in the direction of travel of the roadway. A structure number is inset at the begin point of the structure in the direction of travel.

Mast Arms are a subcategory of the FDOT Bridge Inventory. It is maintained in a restricted database called the Bridge Management System (BMS), formerly PONTIS. Monthly the GIS unit extracts/updates this feature class via script for the visualization of bridge structures in GIS. Mast Arms are represented as points at the intersection. There may be more than one mast arm structure for each point. Mast Arms at a given intersection are given a subscript of V1, V2, etc., starting at the SW corner of the intersection. Inspections are required at least once every 5 years

This feature class is a combination of structures which are an extract of FDOT Bridge Inventory. It is maintained in a restricted database called the Bridge Management System (BMS), formerly PONTIS. Monthly the GIS unit extracts/updates this feature class via script for the visualization of bridge structures in GIS. Bridges (which includes mast arms, high mast light poles, and large sign structures are represented as points at the start of the structure in the direction of travel of the roadway. A structure number is inset at the begin point of the structure in the direction of travel. Some Bridge numbers represent both directions of a two structure bridge. In other cases a second number is given to the separate structure for the opposite direction of travel of the roadway. Included also are Pedestrian Crossing Bridge Structures, High Mast Light Poles, Mast Arm and Sign Structures. Mast Arms represent an intersection where one of more mast arm structures support traffic signal equipment.
