Description:
<span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif; font-size:12.0pt;">This layer shows land use development in each TAZ for years 2015, 2020, and 2045, as well as land use capacity between 2020 and 2045. Two metrics were introduced to reflect land use capacity: (1) the number of residential units and (2) non-residential living areas in square feet. The layer was developed using parcel data from the Florida Department of Revenue and socioeconomic data from travel demand models: the Southeast Florida Regional Planning Model v8.512 and the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Model v5.0.

Geographic Coverage
FDOT District 4, which encompasses five counties Florida: Indian River County, St. Lucie County, Martin County, Palm Beach County, and Broward County.

Time Period
2015, 2020, 2045

Scale
Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ)

Use Cases

Urban planning and zoning assessment to evaluate growth and development potential.

Transportation planning leveraging land use data aligned with travel demand modeling.

Policy making support for land use, infrastructure, and investment decisions.

Monitoring and forecasting residential housing and commercial space development.

Attribution and Licensing
This layer was developed based on data from the Florida Department of Revenue and FDOT travel demand models.
