Milepoint location information is downloaded from the Traffic Characteristics Inventory Database (TCI) and used to create this file locally at the District. This file includes all station types including Telemetered Traffic Monitorign Sites (TTMS) & Portable Traffic Monitoring Sites (PTMS) and roadtubes. Since these locations are created based on milepoint information they line up with the basemap lines and move accordingly. Actual cabinet locations (that don’t change) as defined by latitude and longitude coordinates are also available upon request.

This layer won’t replace the PTMS and TTMS SDE layers. It will only replace the PTMS and TTMS layers in the Production GIS Applications. We will continue to update the PTMS and TTMS layers in SDE by script with the rest of central office data.
