Description: This feature class was created to use for Napa County's EOC basemap. The list of pre-designated aircraft landing zones was developed by Napa County fire department representatives, aircraft providers, and the EMS agency. This data only comprises the pre-designated landing zones as identified by fire department or agency representatives which received approval on May 16, 2007. According to the EMS Manager, "The decision for an EMS aircraft landing zone is ultimately at the discretion of the Incident Commander. Nothing in this document prohibits an Incident Commander from landing an aircraft at any other location within the County of Napa. Questions, comments or concerns should be directed to Ty Cook , EMS Specialist, 707-259-8753." The coordinates used to create the features in this layer should not be considered precise. In some cases, coordinates of buildings or street intersections were plotted because the exact landing zone location is unknown, however, the landing zone is nearby.
