Description:

DMF maintains sampling stations in different coastal rivers to monitor the migrations and populations of river herring, American eel, American shad and rainbow smelt. This feature layer reports on the location and type of each sampling stations. Users of the GIS datalayer can request site specific data from DMF. DMF intends to link monitoring and water quality data associated with the sampling stations to future updates of the datalayer.
