MF_Migratory_Habitat (FeatureServer)

Service Description: Migratory habitat refers to the presence of 10 species of diadromous fish in reaches of coastal rivers in Massachusetts. The migratory data was assembled for the DMF technical report TR-47 in 2016. River reaches are coded based on the occurrence of the diadromous species during their migrations as influenced by their specific life history and ability to pass over various impediments. Appendix B from TR-47 contains this presence information. This was updated during 2020 and coded into the GIS Diadromous Fish Datalayer with the addition of information on sea lamprey and two sturgeon species. DMF will update this feature as needed annually.
