Service Description: The Colorado Forest Restoration Institute (CFRI) developed the collaborative risk assessment and decision support (RADS) process to help communities identify the resources and assets they value, quantify potential fire impacts to community values, and prioritize vegetation management actions to reduce fire impacts (Dunn and Wolk, 2023; Rhea et al., 2024). RADS is typically used as a mid-scale planning tool to identify priority treatment units for vegetation management across the landscape based on treatment feasibility, cost, and wildfire risk reduction effects. In this StoryMap, we demonstrate how collaborative partners can use spatial information from a RADS process to move from priority treatment units to planning projects on the ground. This is intended for partners who have been through a RADS process, and/or are familiar with the RADS process and outputs.
