Service Description: Bicycle facilities only, excludes routes. The previous version combined both striped facilities and routes into one layer. Bicycle facilities include both striped and installed cycle infrastructure. Striped facilities are painted on the roadway and inlcude bike lanes, bike boxes, sharrows, etc. While installed facilties are dedicated infrastructure seperate from the roadway, and are intended for cycling only. Currently San Marcos does not have any such infrastructure. Shared-use or Multi-purpose trails and sidewalk information is contained in the bicycle routes data, since these type of facilities are not specifically exclusive to cycling, like other facilities are. The purpose of this data is to record when, where, and what type of cycing facilities the City of San Marcos maintains, to use in future analysis, and to serve as data for the San Marcos Bicycle Routes Map.

[FacilityID] (String, 10) Alphanumeric id for record matching in Maximo

[FacilityType] (Sting, 50) {DOMAIN:

[InstallDate] (Date) Date the facility was installed.

[Location] (String, 50) Best location description of the facilitiy. If it is a street, enter the full street name. If it is a park, shcool, or other non-street location, enter the name of the location.

[BufferSize] (Double, 38,8) Width in feet of the buffer, if present, otherwise enter 0.
