Description: These data were developed to show the boundaries and 2016 population of the 24 workforce regions in the State of Florida. Population - workforce region's 2015 population estimates from the US Census Bureau Alias - a brandname often used to represent the workforce region Name - name of the workforce region WIDgeog - 10 digit code that represents the workforce information database(WID) geography. Composed of: state FIPS for Florida(12)+areatype(15) which represents workforce region+'0000' filler+and a 2-digit number for each workforce region. Change History3/31/16: Updated population of workforce regions to 2015 population estimates from US Census Bureau 7/1/15: Okeechobee county moved from WB20 to WB19; workforce board boundaries updated Florida's workforce development system is guided by CareerSource Florida. Each workforce(CareerSource) region has an administrative office and one or more centers located in each region.
