Service Description: This dataset includes all large-scale (0.1 ha or more) solar installations in CT as of September 14, 2024. The dataset also includes the year that each solar array was installed and the land cover type that was converted for the siting of the array.

Description: The solar classification map was created using U-Net over Sentinel-2 satellite data (10m resolution). The installation year for each array was determined using the COntinuous monitoring of Land Disturbance (COLD)algorithm (Zhu et al. 2020) and/or manually determined. Each year was checked using high resolution data (PlanetScope). The land cover conversion was determined using the Connecticut Center for Land Use Education and Research's (CT CLEAR) land cover maps.
