The point locations were on-screen digitized in ArcPro. If a right of way from the assessor's parcel data extends to the pond's edge, then the point is snapped to the end of the right of way. Otherwise, points were digitized to the shoreline displayed on the Spring 2021 aerial photographs provided by MassGIS/USGS. The parcel bounds were as of FY22. Public access points were based either on land ownership, accessible rights of ways, &/or local knowledge.

Lagoon Pond is located within the towns of Tisbury and Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard. The particular type of boat access (if any) may vary depending on the site. Some sites may permit shell fishing but not all sites. That information (boat accessibility and shell fishing are not indicated in this dataset's attribute table. The user of these data is encouraged to do further research to ascertain that info.

A 75ft buffer area was applied to each access location for general planning purposes to avoid interference from other activities within the pond.
