These Chapter 91 Areas were compiled/delineated by the Martha's Vineyard Commission in 2023 using a variety of basemap sources. All work was performed in ArcPro. Basemap sources include, FY23 Parcel Bounds, MassGIS 1:25K hydrology, NOAA Nautical Chart and CZM's Tidelands Jurisdiction boundaries.
The seaward extent of Eel Pond and the Outer Harbor of Edgartown were on-screen digitized based on channel and mudflat bounds noted on the nautical chart. The landward extent either follows the parcel bound of FY23 or a boundary from MA Coastal Zone Management Agency's Tidelands Jurisdictions (i.e. Contemporary High Tide, Historic High Tide, etc). Whichever bound is further inland is the landward bound for these Chapter 91 Harbor Areas. Abutting smaller ponds that drain directly into one of these 5 major ponds, is included in the major pond's Chapter 91 Harbor Area.
These are parcels that are part of Edgartown's Harbor Plan of 2023. These parcels either abut a pond/water body of interest &/or are intersected by a tidal jurisdiction line (i.e. contemporary high tide, historic high tide, etc.) There may be additional parcels included in this dataset per the scope of the Harbor Plan.
The parcel bounds are those per the FY23 digital parcel file compiled by the Town's parcel data consultant, CAI Tech. and distributed by MassGIS.
These are right of ways (ROWs) within Edgartown MA. Where applicable, ROWs are indicated if they are part of Edgartown's Harbor Plan of 2023. These Right of Ways either run parallel or intersect parcels that have been included in Edgartown's Harbor Plan of 2023.
The right of way bounds are those per the FY23 digital parcel file compiled by the Town's parcel data consultant, CAI Tech. and distributed by MassGIS.
