Description: First, read the details of how MassGIS created their slope dataset. MassGIS 2021 LiDARBeginning with the MassGIS Slope raster (values in degrees) -- the MVC reclassified the data so values of greater than 90 were set to 0; all other original values retained. Next, Focal Statistics was calculated to generalize the data: Parameters - Neighborhood 9x9 cell (each cell was 0.5sq m) Mean calculated & did NOT ignore 'No Data' values.Then from the generalized slope raster, Extracted Attribute where slope was >= 11 degrees. Reclassified that raster output so all values set to = 1. Converted reclassed raster to polygon - specified 'simplify polygon' and did NOT create multi part polygons.Two attribute fields were added to the polygon feature class: Description and Region. Description value set to either 'Steep' where polygon size is >=0.125acrea (506sq m) or 'Noise' if otherwise. Region indicates Martha's Vineyard or Nomans Land or town of Gosnold.
