Description: As of 8/28/26, this feature layer contains the coastline of Martha's Vineyard and its ponds as per the LiDAR 2021 survey breaklines. The coast and pond shorelines are not tidally corrected. The vertical datum of the 2021 LiDAR survey is NAVD88 and the breaklines indicate 0 elevation. The data do contain an attribute which distinguishes Pond Shoreline from Ocean Coastline.
The feature layer data bundle also includes buffer area from the Ocean Coastline. Buffers of varying distances are stored within one data layer for each respective coastline dataset. Set a filter on the data to display only one buffer at a time (for example, 1 mile vs 1 nautical mile).
