Description: <p>Historic surface water E. coli monitoring site locations and data summaries showing estimated compliance rates with the Michigan water quality standard. Data are compiled by the State of Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) from EGLE-Water Resources Division and publicly available sources (Water Quality Exchange [WQX]). At a minimum, this dataset is updated annually in December from EGLE's own data and WQX. Please note that it is not updated immediately as new results are available. Only monitoring events with a daily geometric mean of three or more samples are included in this dataset. Fields include the site ID, site description, number of sampling events, whether there was a 30-day water quality standard exceedance, sample collector (agency), and the number of water quality standard exceedances. Total Body Contact is represented as TBC, while Partial Body Contact is represented as PBC. Note that if a monitoring event exceeds both the TBC and the PBC, it will only be counted as a PBC exceedance numerically.</p><div>&nbsp;</div><div><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><figure><table style="border-collapse:collapse;" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="1"><tbody><tr><td style="border:1.0pt solid windowtext; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;"><strong>Field Name</strong></p></td><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:solid; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;"><strong>Description</strong></p></td></tr><tr><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:solid; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:none; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">SiteID</p></td><td style="border-bottom:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-top-style:none; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">Site Identification Number</p></td></tr><tr><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:solid; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:none; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">SiteDescription</p></td><td style="border-bottom:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-top-style:none; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">Description of site</p></td></tr><tr><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:solid; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:none; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">DataCollector</p></td><td style="border-bottom:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-top-style:none; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">Organization that collected data including state agencies, local health departments and other organizations</p></td></tr><tr><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:solid; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:none; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">NumberOfSamples</p></td><td style="border-bottom:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-top-style:none; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">Number of samples collected at a site</p></td></tr><tr><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:solid; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:none; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">PBCExceedances</p></td><td style="border-bottom:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-top-style:none; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">Number of partial body contact (PBC) water quality standard exceedances</p></td></tr><tr><td style="border-bottom-style:solid; border-color:windowtext; border-left-style:solid; border-right-style:solid; border-top-style:none; border-width:1.0pt; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">NumberOfSamplesMeetingDailyWQS</p></td><td style="border-bottom:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-left-style:none; border-right:1.0pt solid windowtext; border-top-style:none; padding:0in 5.4pt; width:233.75pt;" width="312"><p style="line-height:normal; margin-bottom:0in;">Number of samples collected that meet daily E.
